What is Puranmashi?
Puranmashi, also written as Purnima or Punia, is the 15th day of the lunar month when the moon is completely full. This day is very auspicious in both Sikh and Hindu traditions. Sikhs visit the Gurdwara and do special ardas. Hindus perform puja and fasts on this day.
What is Masya?
Masya, also called Amavasya, is the new moon day when the sky is completely dark. It is considered a powerful day for prayers, remembering ancestors, and doing good deeds. Many Hindu families perform Shraadh and special rituals on Masya.
